Odin

Odin is considered the chief god of the Assir god clan, the most important clan of gods. He is also known as the All Father and the Warlord's envoy. Their role, like that of many Nordic gods, was complex; he was the god of wisdom, war and death, although also, to a lesser extent, magic, poetry, prophecy, victory and hunting. He was especially adored by the upper social classes. Odin lived in Asgard, in the palace of Valaskjalf, which he built for himself, and where his throne, the Hlidskjalf, is located, where he could observe what happened in each of the nine worlds, thanks to his two crows Hugin and Munin. During the combat he brandished his spear, called Gungnir, and mounted his eight-legged horse, called Sleipnir.

Frigga

Frigga is the mother goddess of the Aesir dynasty. Odin's wife, Thor's stepmother, Meili, Bragi, VĂ¡li and Vidar and mother of Baldur, Hoder and Hermod, is the goddess of fertility, love and union. She is also the protector of the family, mothers and housewives, and a symbol of sweetness. In addition, she is the only goddess besides Odin who can sit on the Hlidskjalf throne and observe the universe.

Tyr

Tyr is the god Assir of combat, of sky, of light, of oaths and, therefore, patron of justice, precursor to Odin. At the time of the Vikings, Tyr made way for Odin, who became the god of war; son of the winter sea giant Hymir, he became considered the son of Odin, due to his courage and heroism in battle, represented by a man without his right hand. He lost his right hand when he placed it in the mouth of the wolf god Fenrir, which was the only way to get the wolf to be caught in the ropes.

Thor

Thor is the god of thunder and battle. He belongs to the assir clan of the gods, and is the son of the god Odin. Thor uses the Mjolnir hammer as a weapon, and has the Megingjord belt, which doubles his strength. It is associated with thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, protection of humanity and also sanctification, healing and fertility and war. Thor was married to Sif. During Ragnarok. Thor will kill and be killed by Jormungandr.

Loki

Loki is a god of trickery and mischief, he is also connected to magic and can take any form he wants. He does not belong to the Assir, although he lives with them. It is often considered a symbol of evil, treacherous, of little confidence; and although their antics usually cause short-term problems for the gods, they often benefit, in the end, from Loki's antics. He is among the most complex figures in Norse mythology. He has a great sense of strategy and uses his skills to his interests, involving intrigue and complex lies. Being a mix of god and giant, his relationship with the other gods is troubled. According to Nordic legends he would lead an army in Ragnarok. However, he is respected by Thor. He also helps Thor retrieve his Mjolnir hammer, stolen by the giants, obtains some of the most precious artifacts from the gods - such as Odin's own spear, Gungnir, Sif's golden hair and Freyr's magical ship, Skidbladnir.

Heimdall

Heimdall is a god, with a mission to guard the Bifrost bridge - a rainbow connecting the sky to Earth, and to touch the resounding Gjallarhorn horn when Ragnarok approaches. The golden maned horse Gulltoppr rides, in addition to having gold teeth, and being the son of nine mothers.
